Technology Highlights
- The invention enables non-image file data to be written sequentially, byte by byte, after the End-of-File (EOF) marker until the entire non-image file has been appended. By attaching the non-image data to the end of the image data file, the integrity and functionality of the original image file remain unchanged.
- The invention allows additional non-image data files to be incorporated, enabling a single file to contain both an image data file and multiple non-image data files. The multiple non-image files are first consolidated into a data file container, such as an archive. This container is then appended to the image file in the manner described above, allowing the additional data to be stored without altering or affecting the original image data.
- The invention provides a computer that is programmed to read and present the image data by processing the combined file from the beginning up to the EOF marker. The computer is also programmed to read and present the non-image data by continuing to process the combined file immediately after the EOF marker until the end of the file is reached.
- The invention places a single non-image file into a file container in the same manner used for combining multiple files into a container. This approach enhances file stability, ensures that all required bytes of the non-image file are preserved, and enables the use of password protection.
- The invention is configured to read and identify the image data file by processing the combined file from the beginning until the EOF marker of the image data file is reached. The extracted data is then saved as the corresponding image data file.
- The invention provides a mobile computing device that is configured to create a combined file containing both an image data file and an audio data file. The device is configured to capture a picture and store it as an image data file, and to record and store an audio recording as an audio data file.
- The invention separates the image file and the non-image file, saves the files independently, and then presents both files using a computer configured to display them, or through separate programs specifically designed to present each file type.
- The invention demonstrates the combination of image and non-image data and the utilization of the resulting combined file. The image data is accessible to the computer in various forms, including image data captured using the computer, existing image files stored on the computer, or image files created by other users or systems and subsequently received by the computer.
- The invention decodes the combined file by enabling the computer to read the file from the beginning until the image file EOF marker is reached.
- The invention provides for non-image data to be combined with image data, the non-image data comprises audio files, including audio data recorded using the computer, audio data contained in existing audio files stored on the computer, or audio data files created by other systems and subsequently received by the computer.
- The invention enables individuals to associate an audio file with an image, allowing them to narrate a story about the photo, perform a song, capture the sounds of a sporting event, share a personal message, include a favourite piece of music, or preserve a moment for long-term memory.
- The invention enhances security by enabling the creation of secured files or secured portions within a combined data file, allowing partial access while restricting access to other portions. Specifically, the combined file contains a non-encrypted image data portion and an encrypted non-image data portion.
