Technology Highlights

  • This technique makes possible to have single image filing / transmission format for any kind of images, and file format based on this image compression technique could compete with any image file format (JPEG, PNG, etc.).
  • With this compression technique, pixel lines in an image could be treated as single compressible units. This allows the image to be compressed, transmitted and decoded in a line-by-line fashion (see below).
  • Image lines or groups of image lines could be encoded/decoded simultaneously and independently, by parallel processing.
  • Suitable for all types of images: true color – RGB and CMYK (for printers), grayscale and indexed color modes.
  • Achieve lossless compression rate which is always significantly better and compressing /decompressing speed is faster than for JPEG2000 / JPEG-LS or PNG formats (currently the best lossless image compression formats).
